Our Pen Pals are COMING!!!

On next Friday, May 6th our Pen Pals will be coming to spend the day with us! We are very excited about this! It is one of the culminating events for our yearlong correspondence. They will be arriving at UPA around 9:45 a.m. and staying until 1:00 p.m. During that time we will be doing academic-based activities, which include a lot of Icebreakers. When our pen pals arrive we would like to welcome them with a continental breakfast before we began our day together. Towards the end of their visit, we want to have a celebration from 12:15-1:00, which parents are invited to attend. I am asking each student to donate $5.00 towards the cost of pizza and wings by Wednesday, May 4th.

I would love for all of my parents to attend the celebration and meet your child’s pen pal. However, I am asking that parents only come from 12:15-1:00 during the celebration. This is due to the fact that our classroom will be a bit crowded with 45 students and I want the student’s focus to be primarily on their pen pals.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are in need of some items to help make this day GREAT! Please go to the "Permission Slip" tab and see if you can donate any of the items listed. Whatever you can contribute, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for all that you do!
