Harvest Fest

This year the children will be allowed to wear costumes for our school-wide, Harvest Fest on Friday, October 29th during school. Please make sure that all costumes fall within these guidelines: No goblins, witches, mask, or weapons.

Violations of these rules will result in a phone call home and a change of clothing into school uniform. There will be planned activities during class as well as safe trick or treating for your child at the end of the day. Please contact the front office if you have any questions.

Donations

We have purchased a NEW bookshelf for our classroom to accommodate our vastly growing library. However, now we have two shelves that are empty, so if you have gently used or new chapter books that are no longer being utilized in your home, that are age-appropriate we would gladly accept them.

We are also seeking gently used or new board games for our classroom for Fun Fridays.

If you have any of those items to donate, please send them to school with your child.

Silly BANDZ Day
Thursday, October 28th

In an effort to reduce the cost of camp, the fifth graders will be selling Silly BANDZ. Your child will be able to purchase Silly BANDZ on Tuesday, October 19th through Thursday, October 28th for only 50¢. Students are only allowed to wear the bracelets on “Silly BANDZ Day”, Thursday, October 28th.

Fall Celebration

We will be having a Fall Celebration in our classroom on Thursday, October 28th. The Fall Celebration will be from 12:30:-1:15p.m. in our classroom.  We are celebrating the wonderful transition that your child has made into the fifth grade and the completion of the MEAP.

A more detail note is located in LAST week’s Friday form. If you are able to donate items to this celebration, please complete the form and have your child return it to school.
